« YOU SEE THIS » okay so. i was driving down the street and i saw a sign that said something "AQUARIUM" or something. so i go in, as i'm also into fish and stuff. and i look around, it's got some nice things (like 99 dollar nanocubes!) and i mosey toward the back and i notice they have a bunny bin. three bunnies in a plexiglass thing. too cute. they seemed kinda BIG, like they'd been there a while. then in another bin i see a crittertrail. it's just sitting in the bin. inside the bin but outside the crittertrail i see a syrian male hamster, he's asleep, cushions hangin out. and NO WHEEL, wire or otherwise. what does he do at night? ugh. then,,,, inside the crittertrail up in the top compartment i see a mother hamster, syrian, she's nursing some babies. awww,,, too cute! then i see something strange. a tail. A LONG TAIL. i see two long tails. there are TWO MICE in the compartment with the mother and her four or five babies. (!!) i ran to the counter. the guy is all, "yeah, they get along." i about freaked out. i mean, i watched them and he was right, they *DID* get along. but i was worried. i mean, i saw that the crittertrail was open on the top. so that means the mother hamster could easily climb our, or the male hamster could easily climb IN. it just seemed too fishy to me. but what can you do. the guy seemed so bizarre that i couldn't even approach him with safety issues concerning hamsters being solitary animals. i knew he would have an excuse. (i wanted to learn more about how the mice and hamster got along, but like i said he was bizarre and he seemed a bit stand offish and untalkative...) so yeah, i knew he'd have an excuse. they always do. and it's true, they were "okay" anyway. the mother was alive, the babies were a few weeks old, and the mice were, well, they were mice. LIVING WITH HAMSTERS! shocking! anyway. that's all. speechless now. oh wait -- ps: the hams all got green pepper for their twilight treat tonight. they love that stuff, i swear. the seeds especially. yum yum for the ham hams. plus, it's been cooler at nights here in LA, so the hams seems a bit more active.
