um, errr, well yes i know it's been EONS since i've updated, so long in fact that diaryland stopped generating the site. so i submitted a tech request to have it regenerated and it should be up and running by... ...tomorrow i hope.

anyway. HAMSTERS! ..make that HAMSTER. i'm down to ONE. in the past, oh, year or so, i've lost all my hamsters except jesus. that's not "gee-zus", it's "hay-suess" btw.

he is living in patches' cage in the bathroom. yes, now jesus is the bathroom hamster. he loves it in there and we do too. lots of treats in the morning (he always comes up his tube to say "hi" when he hear me running water or whatever. he's got his own house tho, a new ceramic GOURD shaped thing with windows and all that. it's not his sleeping quarters however, he's chosen to use it for his food storage headquarters. he sleeps behind the house in a giant pile of bedding and tissue. it's so cute cuz you can see it rumbling and then in a second he SHOOTS out his secret exit on the side. he'll make a sharp u-turn and scurry up the tube (where he likes to groom and chew on things) and i'll lift the lid and give him a kiss or a sunflower seed. methinks he prefers the sunflower seed to the kiss but he knows that the kisses come first.

his ball is the neon orange ball, this week. we have so many of them, what with all the other hamsters we've had in the past.

now you may ask... why just one hamster? well, it's not that i'm not in love with hamsters anymore! it's because we might be moving, so moving one hamster is easier than moving... SEVEN or eight or nine...

sigh... i keep looking at hamsters and think how nice it would be to get another, then i remember that if i wanted more i wouldn't buy one, but rather, ADOPT one that's been abandoned, or do a rescue of some sort...

anyway. that's the update. hopefully it won't be another year for the other one, lol.

oh yes: a big shout out to delphine and emily pixie. sorry i haven't kept in touch! i hope you're both doing well and the summer ahead is awesome for both of you. also, shout outs (and a cordial hello) to everybody at aph. i really should check that NG and see what's been going on in the world of online hamsters.
